The Hamilton Connection: Scottish music, stories and a founding father
Presented by Musica Dolce
On April 25th, the Historical Society of Islip Hamlet and the Islip Public Library hosted Musica Dolce and their musical program exploring the heritage of Alexander Hamilton, whose father, James Hamilton of Grange, was Scottish nobility.  Colonial period music on instruments of the time, stories and anecdotes get to the core of the Scot's way of thinking.
