Civil Rights on Long Island
Presented by Christopher Verga
On Thurs. Mar. 30, The Historical Society of Islip hosted a presentation by Christopher Verga and how civil rights progressed on Long Island. The interactive lecture detailed the historic race relations and struggles for equality across Long Island.  These events paved the way for milestones, and complications, in segregation.
