On September 9th, the Historical Society of Islip Hamlet hosted Newsday contributor John Hanc who did a presentation on his book "Jones Beach: An Illustrated History". He brought to life the personalities who discovered and made Jones Beach the greatest public recreation space of its kind in the world.
